Working days in other years
The total changes from year to year because the number of weekdays depends on which day the year starts, and because holidays that fall on a weekend are moved to a weekday.
How this count works
- Every Monday to Friday counts as a working day, except US federal holidays.
- A holiday on a Saturday is observed on the Friday before, and a holiday on a Sunday on the Monday after. The observed day is the one that is skipped.
- State holidays, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve are not federal holidays, so they count as working days here. If your workplace closes on them, subtract one day for each.
- For a different set of days off, use the business days calculator and change the weekend and holiday settings.
