Business Days Until Christmas
The number of business days left before Christmas Day, counted from today. Saturdays, Sundays and US federal holidays are skipped.
Counted from today on your device. Weekends and US federal holidays are skipped.
How the count works
- Today is not counted. The count starts with the next business day.
- Christmas Day itself is not counted: it is a federal holiday, so the count runs to the business day before it.
- Saturdays, Sundays and US federal holidays are skipped. A holiday on a weekend is skipped on its observed day.
- The business days calculator handles other dates and other days off.
Christmas Day by year

Good to know
- Christmas Eve is not a federal holiday, so it counts as a business day here unless it is the observed day off, which happens when December 25 falls on a Saturday. Many employers close early or give the day off; if yours does, subtract one day.
- Shipping carriers set their own holiday cut-off dates for delivery before Christmas, usually a week or more ahead for ground shipping. Check the carrier's holiday schedule.
