Good to know
- December 31 is counted when it is a business day. When New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, December 31 is the observed holiday and is not a business day.
- Christmas Day, and its observed day when it falls on a weekend, are skipped.
- For the business days until New Year's Day, use this count: it runs through December 31, the last day before New Year's Day.
