- Today is not counted. The count starts with the next business day.
- The last day of the quarter is counted when it is a business day.
- Saturdays, Sundays and US federal holidays are skipped. A holiday on a weekend is skipped on its observed day.

Calendar quarters end on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31. Companies with a different fiscal year have different quarter ends.
